Over-Skilled Candidates in Abundance

The number of candidates prepared to take jobs below their skill set has increased considerably over the last 4 months and although it has taken some time,  businesses from all sectors  have started to appreciate the ‘value for money’ option and  are capitalising on the available labour. These candidates were earning £30k plus and are now comfortable walking into a £20k a year job.

Aware of the fixed costs currently involved with long term commitments in recruiting permanent staff the conversion to controllable, variable costs by utilizing our temporary services has become appealing to employers. While employers have the opportunity to take on over skilled staff  at a lower rate, long term retention may be difficult as these people will move on to better positions when they become available.
